Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation

certificato jci
Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation is the process by which a health organization, on a voluntary request, is evaluated in order to establish compliance with a set of requirements of excellence (standard) designed to improve patient safety  and the quality of health care.
 The survey, or accreditation visit, assesses an organization’s compliance with the Joint Commission International standards and their measurable elements.  This conformity assessment is based on:
  •   interviews with operators and patients and other verbal information;
  •   direct observation of care processes by evaluators;
  •   review of policies, procedures, clinical practice guidelines and other documents provided by the organization.
 To achieve accreditation, an organization must demonstrate an acceptable level of compliance with all standards and obtain a minimum numerical score.  The accredited organizations receive an Official Report on the findings of the Accreditation visit and the relative accreditation certificate.  The report indicates the level of compliance with the standards reached by the organization.
 The “Gli Angeli di Padre Pio” Presidium of the Padre Pio Onlus Rehabilitation Centers Foundation obtained the first JCI accreditation in 2019.
